Careers @ Manjoorans
The world is a big place, and everything light touches are in your kingdom for potential jobs abroad. Yikes! That’s even more overwhelming than chasing away a pack of slimy hyenas. How do you begin to zoom in on the global map until you find a place that you would like to temporarily call home? so the first step is to select a place you want to study and get settled.
STEP 1: CHOOSE A LOCATION
The list of advantages is practically endless: broadened horizons, new skills, improved independence, new friendships (and business relations), a new language added to your repertoire, and a boost to take your career dreams to the next level. You’ll be having so much fun overcoming new challenges and tasting bizarre gelato flavours that your job abroad won’t even feel like work; rather, it will be like one crazy (paid!) adventure.
Familiar or Exotic? Canada or News Zealand? What about Australia? Some people feel more comfortable sticking with places that remind them of their current country: a similar culture, a connection to friends/family, and a taste of home. Others are drawn to the wildness and mystique of exotic locations for the very opposite reasons. Neither is right or wrong, just keep in mind that you will be there for a while, so try to pick a place that functions decently bureaucratically and provides you with a friendly work environment. Learning how to drape a sari might be difficult enough, even without dealing with tropical diseases.
If the idea of picking up and moving to an entirely different universe seems daunting enough, it might be in your interest to at least keep conversations in a language that you understand. (This still leaves you with plenty of great options: Canada, Australia or the UK, etc.). But, if you’re ready to rock in more than one language, focus in on a part of the world that speaks what you are learning (or would like to learn). German, Italian, Swedish, Swahili, Aymara, Archi? Take your pick, pack a multi-lingual dictionary, andhasta luego, baby!
STEP 2: SELECT A COURSE
Studying abroad typically pool applicants from all over the world; that’s a lot of competition. Whether you are interested in teaching, building harps in, or researching coral reefs off the coast of Australia, how do you stand out from the crowd?
There should always be some correlation between the education completed and the course to be chosen. It’s according to the taste of the student as well as the demand of the field in a particular country. In Canada and Australia, most of the courses have high demand and they have a good stay back time to get their PR. But in other countries, it is very specific to there culture and needs. Students do get a good assistance from the counsellors of manjoorans for choosing their course and college. Once they complete their education they can go into the field of interest and get into good jobs
Just as diverse as world locations are the types of jobs you can tackle abroad. Ultimately, you can do anything, so we recommend focusing on something you are genuinely interested in or that will prove beneficial for what you want to do later in life. Most of us still cannot answer the question that parents have been asking us since we were four (whatchya wanna do when you grow up, honeypie?), but that’s alright. Getting a job abroad doesn’t mean a lifelong commitment, and you don’t necessarily have to pave a way to your ultimate career. In fact, the global sphere makes for great experimental wiggle room.
If you aren’t sure what jobs are available abroad after studies or you are just getting your career dreaming started, here are some of the most common jobs abroad for a foreign worker.

Why Work Abroad
Treating patients whose background, life experiences, and culture are different than your own will expose you to different types of medical treatments and procedures, teach you a new way of approaching problems, and help you communicate better with patients from all walks of life.
Jobs abroad are a great experience for people who want a little adventure in their lives, and like to travel independently. International nursing jobs provide personal and professional growth to every nurse, through providing care, administering medicine and treatments, working on language skills, and supplying education to patients in a foreign country.
New Zealand
has a shortage of registered nurses that is projected to increase over the next two decades as nearly half of its current nursing workforce is approaching retirement age. The country is small, about 4.4 million, and employers may recruit workers for nursing jobs in New Zealand under the country’s skilled migrant immigration policy.
Australia
though much larger, diverse, and more populated than New Zealand has a similar shortage, and a medical recruitment process with a fast-track visa certification process for available nursing jobs.
Canada
Once you’ve graduated nursing school, you must take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) in order to practice as a RN in the U.S. or Canada. Once you have the appropriate licensing figured out, nursing jobs abroad are plentiful and varied; but often fall into one of the following categories. This has made easy through taking up a course in Canada.
Child Care
Au pairing has been used as the way to get out of the familiarities of home and into someone else’s way of life for centuries. Usually au pair placements are more short-term, but it remains an excellent way to get thrown head-first into a new culture, language, and location. While teaching the ABC’s to little kiddos, you can also network in the surrounding community and potentially find additional, future job opportunities.
Hospitality
From assisting front desks to creating culinary masterpieces, the hospitality sector provides a flexible option for those needing some quick cash. While common restaurant jobs (such as waitressing, hosting, cleaning) are easy to stumble upon in the streets, there are also several work abroad programs that can provide a secure seasonal or temporary job placement abroad. Bonuses of hospitality jobs abroad include working for a familiar (or American) company, while at the same time living abroad.
Australia
is a very popular international tourist destination, and therefore has plenty of hospitality, hotel jobs and tourism related jobs available. All of the major cities in Australia lie around the coasts, which means wherever you end up working in Australia you are sure to be within reasonable proximity to gorgeous beaches. The level of restaurant presence in major cities, such as Sydney and Melbourne, is extremely prominent to say the least.
News Zealand
is also a great place for hospitality jobs. The universities colleges provide good courses with low fees for studying. Through which they can enter into jobs and later settle down in these places.
While many people think of mechanical engineering study abroad when discussing foreign engineering programs, the term engineering can be applied to many different disciplines. In addition to the mechanical variety, students may find programs for civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, and even biomedical engineering. Many universities have a wide range of subjects available, so different types of engineering students may be able to find courses and programs that tailor to their particular discipline. There are also programs available that focus on language studies, multi-country programs, and even internship opportunities. Different programs may vary in length, so students may be able to choose how long they stay, from a few weeks to an academic year or longer.
